Tips received through Tipican are income and may be taxable depending on where you live. You are responsible for reporting your tip income to your local tax authority. Below are guides for each of the countries Tipican operates in.
Your payout provider handles any tax reporting it is required to provide, such as forms for recipients in the US who meet reporting thresholds.
Because Tipican transfers tips directly to you, bypassing the employer's payroll, Revenue classifies these as Non-PAYE Income, which means you must report them yourself.
For staff in: Hotels, restaurants, bars and cafes
